Privacy policy
Last updated August 2026.
1. Who we are
Oversight Advisory Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16310946. Registered office: 5th Floor, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5PF, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Contact for anything in this policy: alex@oversightadvisory.io.
2. What we collect
When you fill in a form on this site we collect what you type: your name, work email, company name, phone number if you give it, and whatever you tell us about your business. When you subscribe to the newsletter we collect your email address. When you book a call, the booking is handled by Calendly and covered by their privacy policy as well as ours. We also record which advert or campaign brought you here, using tags in the page address, and standard technical logs such as IP address and browser type.
3. Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use enquiry details to reply to you and to work out whether we can help, which is a step you ask us to take before any contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)). We use the newsletter email address with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link. We use campaign tags and technical logs under our legitimate interest in understanding whether our advertising works and keeping the site secure.
4. What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not add you to a marketing list because you sent an enquiry. We do not use your information for automated decision making.
5. Who we share it with
Suppliers who process data for us: Supabase, which stores form submissions and newsletter signups; our website hosting provider; Calendly for bookings; and our email provider. Each acts under contract as a processor. If you arrived from a LinkedIn advert, LinkedIn also processes data about your interaction with the advert on its own platform as a separate controller.
6. International transfers
Some of our suppliers store data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or the supplier's UK adequacy safeguards.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiry details for up to twenty four months after our last contact, so we can pick a conversation back up. Newsletter details until you unsubscribe. Technical logs for a short period for security.
8. Cookies and similar storage
This site sets one functional cookie, oa-market, which remembers which country version of the site you chose. It is not used for tracking. Embedded services such as Calendly may set their own cookies when you use them. We do not run advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
9. Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict our use of it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis. Email alex@oversightadvisory.io and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date.
